Made in Czech Republic, by Preciosa. Each one of these cabochon stones is hand made and pressed using the same skills and techniques used for generations in the Czech glass lampwork industry. Workers mix the colors to achieve the striped effect. This division of Preciosa has closed down and now only a limited number of skilled makers are left in the Czech industry are able to make these stones. We grabbed a lot of stones from Preciosa's back shelves which they repacked for us in new envelopes. But the stones are from prior to 2008.
